Handler and Dog Units

At Maximus, we can deploy our Dog Patrol Units in three ways. If requested, the handler and dog can take up a permanent posting at a premise. This is the perfect solution for an unoccupied premise or for a location with lots of open ground to be searched

They can be deployed to assist our mobile and static officers should they require assistance at their location.

They can also be deployed to assist our event security officers and stewards to assist with crowd control, for example at football matches or drug detection dogs at night time venues to search customers upon entry to your premise.

If required, and where a security officer may be limited by their sense of vision, a Dog Patrol Unit can detect, locate and indicate an intruder or potential threat. The mere presence of our handler and dog teams is a proven deterrent. Our dogs are trained to challenge intruders, track them and preserve evidence for the police.

All Maximus Security dogs receive regular training and continuous on going assessment with their handlers. Our security dogs and handlers develop close working relationships from working, training and living together. The results are a formidable team, with our dog handlers specifically selected for their communication, people and animal welfare skills.
